Perhaps one of the most basic things you should do before quilting is choosing the right fabric.

We may have an answer to that. As our shop has a variety of quilting fabrics with all different colors, textures, patterns and designs. Take note that there are many different types of fabrics for quilt making and it is so important that you choose the right one depending on your need.

And before spend so much time in selecting what fabric you think is the best for your quilting project, here are some tips which I hope can be of a great help.

First, think about what is the purpose of your project. Is it for blanket or bed covers? Is it a wall decor, a pillow case, or a table runner?

In planning carefully and choosing the right fabric, you can save both your time and money. If you are to create a blanket, it is better to purchase a 100% cotton fabric. You should also choose those with cold colors such as light blue, green, and even the pastel colors, so as to make you more relaxed as you go to bed. However, you can opt to choose fabrics with bright colors if want to use them for wall decors.

Also, you have to make sure that your fabric will last for a long period of time, even if you frequently wash them. It is also important that the fabric's color don't wash out so it will not ruin the whole quilt.
